I, Robot (2004)

I, Robot is a science-fiction film released on July 16, 2004. It is based on Isaac Asimov's Robot Series novels. The cast includes Will Smith, Bridget Moynahan, Alan Tudyk (voice), James Cromwell, Bruce Greenwood and Chi McBride.

Will Smith plays detective Del Spooner, who finds out about the death of Dr. Alfred Lanning (James Cromwell), inventor of the Three Laws of Robotics and co-founder of U.S. Robotics. He suspects that a robot did it, but no robot has ever committed a crime before. A new line of robots, the Nestor NS-5, has just been commissioned, and Spooner thinks a NS-5 killed Dr. Lanning. Assisted by Dr. Susan Calvin (Bridget Moynahan), a robo-psychologist who works at the USR, Spooner is lead in a chase to find out how Dr. Lanning died and what was the purpose of his death.

Conclusion: A movie with a very well thought-out plot and with some great action.
